Cutting Edge Stencils Giveaway Winner!

Hi Friends!

Happy New Years Eve!  Do you have big plans tonight?  Scott and I are going to get wild and crazy tonight and sit out on our back deck with our neighbors eating appetizers and sipping champagne while we both watch our baby monitors!  Woohoo!!  I’m actually really looking forward to it.  We are so lucky to be surrounded by such great neighbors!

Anyway…..on to the good stuff!

I wanted to say thank you all for your super kind words about my stenciled dining room wall!  We are absolutely still 100% smitten with it!  I get a big grin on my face every time I walk in that room.  Now that all the Christmas décor is down, I can really get in there and get it decorated how I want!

My dining room wouldn’t look nearly as cool as it does if it weren’t for the amazing folks over at Cutting Edge Stencils!  They are some pretty fab peeps over there!  So fab that they thought it would be cool to give one of you guys a stencil of your choice (up to a $50 value) from their huge selection!!

Thank you to all of you who entered the giveaway!

The winner of the Cutting Edge Stencils giveaway is……..

Congrats, Ange!  An email has been sent!

Cutting Edge Stencils {Giveaway}!!!

**This giveaway is now CLOSED!**

This morning I shared with you some yummy eye candy that is my dining room {in progress}!  This eye candy is due much in part to the feature wall that I stenciled!  It looks so good!
IMG_7006
It’s finally coming together!  I just love that this whole space was transformed with a can of paint and the Zamira Allover Stencil from Cutting Edge Stencils!
Decorative wall stenciling is the hot new trend right now in home décor!  Everyone is finding a wall somewhere in their home that they can stencil!  Cutting Edge Stencils makes it easy & affordable!  The reusable wall stencils are an easy way to transform a space.  In many ways, it is so much better than wallpaper or sticky vinyl decals.  Creating amazingly gorgeous rooms is so simple with these stencils!
What I loved most about this whole process was how easy it was.  I honestly had set myself up to fail.  I thought it was going to be really hard and that I would screw it up somehow (I seem to do that quite often).  But, Cutting Edge sends you super clear and easy to understand instructions, complete with pictures!  Plus, you can always rely on their YouTube channel for how-to videos or reference all the steps on their website!
For me, it took a few days to decide on which design I wanted. IT WAS SO HARD!!  They have so many great designs to choose from!  So get ready – because one lucky reader is going to be faced with the same hard decision!
Cutting Edge Stencils is giving one lucky All In A Day reader a stencil of their choice (up to $50)!!!!
Yup!  Cutting Edge Stencils has been kind enough to offer up one of their amazing stencils to one of my readers!  Aren’t you guys lucky!?!  And they’ll even ship it to ya for free, too!!  It doesn’t get much better than that!

31 Gifts Bag Review {And A Giveaway!!!}

*Giveaway Is Now Closed!*

Hi Friends!
Let me just tell you…..I am so glad that the weekend is out of the way!  We celebrated our 10 year high school reunion this past weekend.  It was a blast!!!  However, I was on the planning committee and let me just tell you…..I’m glad that it’s over!  It took a lot out of me the past few weeks!  But it really was a great time and I can’t wait to share pictures with you when we get them back!
In the meantime…..I want to talk to you guys about an amazing company {that I know you all have heard of}!!  This is a company I really believe in.  I believe in what they stand for.  In fact, I almost became a consultant myself!  So when my girlfriend {that I actually cheered with in highschool} contacted me about possibly doing a giveaway on the blog, I didn’t even have to think twice!  It was an immediate and resounding yes, yes, yes!!!  You guys know giveaways are few and far between on this blog.  I’m pretty picky.  But I do like to support companies and businesses that I believe in and that I personally love.
Mallory asked me to review the large utility tote.
I had been lusting after this tote for a while and figured I’d ask for it for my birthday or Christmas.  So it totally worked out when Mallory contacted me!!  I picked my pattern and monogram and within a couple short weeks, I had my AMAZING new bag!!!
It came just in time too because we were getting ready to head to Gainesville that weekend for a Gator game and I was bringing a lot of stuff to tailgate with friends.  I was wondering how I was going to pack and transport all the stuff I had to bring.  So as soon as the bag came in the mail, I knew that would be the first thing I used it for!
IMG_6323
I packed some extra paper towels, trash bags, koozies, extra cups, my camera bag, fabric to work on some Gator rag wreaths, and my wreath forms and a few other odds and ends.  And I still had TONS of space to spare!!
I’m kind of in love with this bag!  Even though it’s not Gator colors, it looked super cute at the tailgate:

IMG_6331
I just LOVE it!  I even used it to carry around supplies for our reunion events this weekend.  It’s just a perfect bag to throw all your stuff in.  You know it’ll all fit and you’ll look cute carrying it around!  And the best part……it’s collapsible!!!  Yup, it collapses practically flat so you can store it easily when not in use {which….I don’t know when that would be since this bag is perfect for just about everything}!
In fact, here are “31” fun uses for the large utility tote!
1. Groceries
2. Laundry
3. Toys
4. Trunk Organizer
5. Gardening Supplies
6. Beach Gear
7. Pool toys
8. Tailgate Parties
9. Picnic Supplies
10. Grocery Shopping
11. Sports Equipment
12. Traveling – when collapsed, it will fit in your luggage and is great for separating dirty laundry from clean clothes
13. Pet Supplies
14. Extra Towels
15. Guest Bedding
16. Arts & Crafts Supplies
17. Board Games
18. Camping Gear
19. Diaper Storage
20. Closet Organization
21. DVD/Video Game Storage
22. On the Boat
23. Transporting Gifts/Packages
24. Party Supplies
25. Clothing Storage
26. Exercise Gear
27. Scrapbooking Supplies
28. Overnight Bag
29. Shoe Storage
30. In the Dorm
31. Cleaning Supplies

It is such a versatile bag.  I just love 31 Gifts.  They have such super cute, quality products.  My mom recently ordered a handbag from them as part of a school fundraiser and it is so cute!  It’s all I’ve seen her use the past few times I’ve seen her (and my mom changes purses like she changes her underwear)!!
So now for the good stuff!
Mallory is so sweet and would love to give one All In A Day reader a $25 gift card to 31 Gifts!!
Here’s how to enter {remember to leave a separate comment for each item you complete}:
1.  Visit Mallory’s personal 31 Gifts page and come back and tell me which item you would buy with your $25 gift card!  {one entry}

Happy Labor Day

Hey guys!  Boy, I tell ya….I sure do love long weekends!  Scott actually had Friday off as well so we had a 4 day weekend!  Score!

Friday we took a day trip to Destin to go shopping at the outlets!  It was fun.  I may or may not have spent $175 at the Carter’s outlet.  Whoops.  The whole store was 50% off!!  How could I not stock Emily up for Fall!?!

Saturday we just kind of relaxed and got some work done around the house.  And of course we watched some football!  Emily was ready to watch her Gators win!

IMG_6218IMG_6228IMG_6229

IMG_6220

And we came out with a victory!  Woohoo!  Although Emily didn’t quite make it to the end of the game.

Today we caught up on more housework (oh you know, touching up baseboards and such) and played with little Miss Em.

It was such a great and relaxing weekend.  I wish my husband had 4 day weekends more often!  The weather was pretty crabby most of the weekend so we didn’t get to go out and enjoy the sun.  Thankfully we live in Florida and there will be much more warm weather and sunshine for us to enjoy!

What did you do for your Labor Day weekend?

OH!  And before I forget…..don’t forget to pop over and enter the UPrinting giveawayRemember – you HAVE to leave a separate comment for each item you complete (like….one comment if you like me on FB, one comment if you follow UPrinting on Twitter).  This is the only way to do it fairly using Random.org.  Thanks guys!

I’m Official {and other housekeeping stuff}

Hey guys!

A couple of weeks ago I bought this e-book from Momcomm.

It was really eye opening.  If you are serious about your blog and want to make it better, I highly recommend this book!

I started this blog when Scott & I got married to document our life together as a family, buying our first home together, and now raising our first child together.  That will NEVER change.  I love sharing about my family.

For some reason, with the birth of Emily, my creative side just exploded.  I’ve always kind of been into making stuff and crafts, but not like this!  I have so many ideas that run through my head, just not enough time in the day to get them all done!  But I do like to document the things I do get done and I love that you like to read it too!  I love hearing from you guys and I have really come to cherish my little corner of the blogosphere over here.

With that being said, I think I’m ready to take this blog a little further.  So far, I have always designed my blog (hah…if that’s even what you want to call it).  And if you’ve been with me for any length of time, you know I like to change the look of my blog like I change my underwear!  But there are some things I’d like to be different as far as looks and navigation are concerned so I think it’s time I turn to the professionals.  I think I’ve figured out what designer I want to go with and I have asked for a blog re-design for my birthday (coming up in October)!  Woohoo!  Hopefully I’ll be working with this great designer:

I love Seven Thirty Three’s portfolio and she seems really easy to work with!  So I’m excited!

With allllllll of that being said, I did take one step that was recommended in the book and I became OFFICIAL!!  I bought a dot com!

Woohoo!

So you can now visit me at:

www.allinadayblog.com

Yay!

So I hope you’ll stick around and pardon the dust over the next few weeks!  I hope to make this a more enjoyable place for us all!  I’m so, so, so happy and grateful that I get to share this journey with you!

One last order of business…..

Don’t forget to enter the UPrinting giveaway!  250 customizable stickers!!  They could be used for anything (not just business related).  They would be great to put on your child’s books saying “This Book Belongs To ______” or stickers for your kid’s lunch box, or monogrammed stickers for cards, etc.  The options are limitless!  You guys know I very rarely do giveaways on this blog.  I certainly don’t host a giveaway unless I think it’s something you guys would love and/or could use!

The Creative Connection Event {and roaches}

Hey guys!  Ok, so I have to start by telling you guys a story.  I tried my hand at the whole thrifting thing again today.  I was out running errands and passed by a Goodwill.  So I pulled in and thought I’d give it a shot and see if I could find a fun table or chair to makeover {in my endless amount of free time}.  I was browsing around not having much luck.  I walked to the back where they had all the furniture, rugs, lamps, etc.  That’s when I saw it.

A roach.

Crawling across the floor.

I just about gagged.  I was already a little freaked out by the smell in there.

That is when I proceeded to take my baby and march my not-so-happy butt outta there.

I mean, gross.  I’m not a goody-two-shoes or a super clean-freak type of person by any means.  But when I saw that roach {which was about the size of a small kitten}, I couldn’t help but wonder how many others there were.  Or maybe there were rats.  Eeww.

Moving on………

* * * * * * * *

Have you heard of The Creative Connection Event??  I just found out about it about a week ago!  I have been itching to attend a blog conference and try to learn as much as I possibly can!  I just want to go and meet some of my fav bloggers and be inspired and learn!

Enter The Creative Connection!!

This sounds like the perfect event for me!

Here’s the 411:

“Bringing together the creative process of handmade goods and food with the marketing savvy of business and social media, the second annual event will draw on the rich experience of over 100 industry experts, entrepreneurs, and authors. The good news is, they are giving away 2 FREE tickets to their event!!  And that includes hotel!!!  Say whaaaaa??

So I have the chance to attend an amazing event, be inspired, have a free hotel, AND bring a friend!?!  Where do I sign!!??

All you have to do is head over to the TCC Blog and leave a comment over there, on THEIR BLOG.

Done & done!  I really hope I win!

Wish me luck!

Have you guys attended any blog conferences or events?  Did you learn a lot?
