Pumpkin Topiary {Fall Front Porch}

Hi Friends!
A couple of weeks ago my Michaels had their “funkins” on sale for 50% off and you could still use a coupon on top of that!  Score!  So I scooped up 3 of them!  One large, one medium, and one small.  I also bought 2 bags of fake fall leaves for $1 each.
I rushed home and whipped up this little bad boy {and by ‘whipped up’ I mean I spent hours just trying to get these beasts to stick to each other and not topple over and trying to scrub off gorilla glue that leaked over.  Don’t ask how many times I had to chase these little funkins down the road after they had toppled over and rolled off}…..

Cute, right?  It’s right by our front door to greet anyone that comes to our home!

Here’s how I did it:
I took a piece of leftover foam board and cut it to fit inside my pot (which I got on clearance at Target at the end of the season for $6!!!!).  I used spray adhesive and hot glue to attach some fake moss to the foam board.  I then used hot glue and Gorilla Glue to stack my pumpkins on top of each other (after cutting a small hole in the bottom of each one so the stem could go through the bottom) and finally to glue it to the foam board.  I also used hot glue to attach the fake leaves.  I cut out the words “Welcome Friends” using some black vinyl and my Silhouette.  And viola!  A super cute addition to our fall front porch!

And I also added this cute little guy to the other side of our front door:

So those are some of the fun little additions to our fall front porch.  I’ll share with you later a wreath I put together for Halloween!
What are you doing around your home to welcome the Fall season?  I just can’t wait for it to feel a little bit more like fall so I can actually wear long sleeves and my boots!!  smile

    I made a topiary of sorts this week too. Feel free to come by and check it out.

  4. Love how you used the 'pumkins'. I looked for them this year, but didn't find any. Didn't think of stopping at micheals, ugh.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment. I read each and every one of them and work hard to respond to all of them that I can.
