Fall Pillow Cover

I am slowly {but surely} getting into the Fall spirit!  I’m getting there, people!  It’s just so hard to fully commit when it’s still 90+ degrees outside {for some reason, I just started singing 98 Degrees songs.  Inappropriate at my age}.

But I’m getting there!

I was up pretty late last night working on various crafts and Etsy orders.

One of the things I worked on were some Fall pillow covers for my couch!

I loved my pillows before.  I had 2 blue pillows that I LOVE!  I found them at TJ Maxx for $20 {for the pair}!  I also made some yellow ones to go with the blue out of Target napkins!

{Sorry for the bad picture.  I’m an impatient blogger who couldn’t wait and took her pictures at night!}

I just loved the blue & yellow together for the Spring & Summer!

But it was time to move on.  I needed some orange or red to really bring that Fall vibe into our home!

I found some pretty fabric at JoAnn’s that was perfect!  But I didn’t want to get rid of my blue pillows.  I wanted to save them for next Spring and Summer as well.  So I did a search for an easy envelope pillow cover tutorial and found the perfect one!

I used this tutorial found over at Texas Cottage.  Man, what a GREAT, easy to understand tutorial!!  I am so lucky to be a part of such an amazing blogging community where everyone shares their skills & talents!

I am definitely still a novice sewer.  But, my envelope pillow cover turned out FAB and I LOVE IT!  I didn’t have quite enough fabric for the 2nd cover so I have to go back to JoAnn’s today to get more.

But I just couldn’t wait to show you my one lonely little cover!!

I am obviously not going to give a tutorial because the one at Texas Cottage is just so darn good, there’s no need to repeat!

And the yellow pillows I made still work!  Yesssss!

Again….this is my kinda project!!  Easy, not permanent, and pretty quick too!  I know I’ll be quicker at the 2nd one now that I know what I’m doing!

So…what do you think?  How are you getting your home ready for Fall and/or Halloween!?

Have a great Friday!!!

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment. I read each and every one of them and work hard to respond to all of them that I can.
