Awkward & Awesome Thursday

It was a rather uneventful week.  But I have a few awkward & awesome things that happened to me this week.  So here we go!

Awkward:

• The pillowcase I made at last night’s sewing class (however, please see the “awesome” list below for further details).
• Deodorant balls in my armpits.
• Calling the deck guy to get an estimate and while talking to him, I immediately get a deep southern accent.  Weird.
• When Fonzie (Scott’s 35 pound mutt dog) tries to hump Daisy (my cute 5 pound Chihuahua) in the backyard.

Awesome:

• The sewing class that a gal in the neighborhood is hosting!  She is so good and I don’t feel stupid asking dumb questions!!  I’m excited to learn pillowcase dresses next time!!! (*Hi LE*!  You made it on the awesome list!  )
• I just updated to the new version of Windows Live Writer and it’s awesome!  Can’t believe I was stuck using the old one for so long.
• I got my classroom all cleaned out in just 2 days!  Not too shabby.
• My dad for helping me clean out said classroom.
• Summa, summa, summatime!
• The fact that Emily pretty much sits up like a pretty little lady on her own now.
• I get to see a great friend this weekend and her cute ‘lil baby bump!!  Yay for baby showers!
• Pinterest.  period.
• My husband {don’t I say that every week?}.

Awkward

Last weekend.  Period.

My dog rubbing her butt across my carpet.  It just looks weird.

Having “that” feeling in your tummy in the middle of Jo Ann’s.  Yikes!

The guy who came yesterday to give us an estimate on a deck.  He was weird and talked too much.

Having a stain on the back of your shorts that you didn’t realize was there.  Classy.

Awesome

My new stroller, the Britax B-Ready.  It’s kind of amazing.

The fact that I just purchased my New Kids On The Block tickets for July 22nd in Orlando.  I’m mildly obsessed!

My husband.  He’s the coolest.

Emily has started saying “ba, ba”.

My followers!  You guys are amazing.

The fact that I have sewn 4 pillows so far with my sewing machine.  I’m takin’ it slow!

Our brand spankin’ new Hobby Lobby!  I melt!

Awkward & Awesome Thursday

Ok, so I’ve been slackin’ on my Awkward & Awesome posts.  Sorry about that.  I’ve skipped out on the past few weeks for a couple reasons.  Mostly, I haven’t had much awkwardness or awesomeness happening.  A couple of the weeks I was out of town and just couldn’t fit in a blog post.  So this awkward & awesome is going to cover the past several weeks!

Are ya ready?

Here we go!

Awkward:

• My baby pooping everywhere.  In the middle of Walmart.  And it got on my hand….in the middle of Walmart.  Gross.
• Watching my fat jiggle in the mirror at the gym.  Gross.  Maybe we should turn this into “gross & awesome” instead.
• That elephant in the room.  Gotta love that.
• Strangers stopping and touching my child.  So weird.  Get your hands off my baby!!  I don’t know you!
• Visible boob sweat.  Nobody likes that.

Awesome:

• Seeing some of the best people on the planet in Miami!  Haven’t seen those friends in forever & it was a blast seeing them.
• My baby doing AMAZING in the car ride down to South Florida.  Seven & a half hours and she was fabulous!
• My new sewing machine.  So what I’ve only sewn one pillow so far on it.  It’s still awesome.  I just know it!
• Pinterest.  Awesome.  ‘Nuff said!
• My husband.  He’s pretty cool.
• The Florida weather.  It’s pipin’ hot and I love it!
• My post about my DIY Mercury Glass getting a lot of attention from Krylon!  Krylon Crafts tweeted about my project and I was asked (by the Krylon digital marketing team) to have my project posted to Krylon’s Project In A Can website!  Suh-weet!
